HP Bluetooth laser mouse plays dress-up

HP Bluetooth laser mouse plays dress-up
I’m in the market for a Bluetooth mouse right now and think I may have found the one. It bears the most boring name on the planet, but the HP Bluetooth Laser Mouse still deserves a spot in my gear bag for its fashion sense. I’m going through a black-and-white phase right now, you see, so the two swappable covers that ship with the battery-powered mouse are a nice match for my wardrobe. Add to that the supplied travel pouch (I’m a fool for cases), energy-saving sleep and standby power modes, and scroll wheel, and what you’ve got is . . . my brand new Bluetooth mouse. Available now for $60. Via Crave. (Read the full post about ‘HP Bluetooth laser mouse plays dress-up’…)

New Concept Stereo Allows You to “Sleep with Bamboo”

New Concept Stereo Allows You to “Sleep with Bamboo”

If the words “sleep with bamboo” got your attention, I want you to know that this phrase is not innuendo in any way. That’s right, it has nothing to do with having unnatural relations with a certain digital tablet and pen combination. So now that your mind is cleaned up, let’s talk about the Bamboo that this lady is sleeping with (in a non-sexual way). The snuggle-able Bamboo is a very unique audio playing system that comes in three parts. The first part is the speakers. They are completely wireless and detachable, and they can be put anywhere within close range. These speakers can even attach to each other. The second part is the control ring (for lack of a better word) with an integrated LCD screen. (Read the full post about ‘New Concept Stereo Allows You to “Sleep with Bamboo”’…)

Sprint offers up over-the-air update for LG Rumor
LG Rumor users are being encouraged by Sprint to download and install the latest software upgrade. According to Sprint the update will “provide important updates to text messaging and enhance the user experience.” It will also fix that nasty keypress debug menu issue. Current users can either download and install the update by going to the main menu, settings/tools, tools, update firmware or by visiting a local Sprint retail store. Any new LG Rumor’s should have the latest firmware installed, but it may be wise to go ahead and give it a quick check. Thanks [Ashley Hahn] Sprint is pleased to offer an over-the-air software upgrade for those customers who have purchased one of our newest consumer phones, Rumor by LG. Sony intros three new photo frames, adds Bluetooth and HDMI
Posted Jan 30th 2008 1:41PM by Joshua TopolskyFiled under: Displays The boys and girls at Sony are firing on all (or a few) cylinders today, launching not one, but three new digital photo frames for your digital photo-framing pleasure. All the frames in the new lineup contain 800 x 480 WVGA displays with a Bizarro World aspect ratio of 15:9, and are capable of scaling and display pictures up to 48-megapixels in size — which we’re sure you’ll be taking advantage of real soon. The 7-inch DPF-V700 and 9-inch DPF-V900 both sport 512MB of internal storage, can communicate via Bluetooth, and have what appears to be a first in digital frames: HDMI outs. Mio and Qualcomm to merge GPS, real-time traffic, and cellphone
Posted Jan 30th 2008 8:24AM by Thomas RickerFiled under: cellphones, GPS, Handhelds In case you missed it, the biggest trend in GPS navigators at the moment is real-time, two-way data feeds for traffic updates. There’s the Dash Express of course, and TomTom’s ONE XL HD Traffic GPS navigator with real-time traffic feeds provided over Vodafone’s GSM network. Now Mio is looking for a piece of that action with some help from Qualcomm. The collaboration brings Qualcomm’s QST1100 chipset to the mix for real-time traffic updates (presumably two-way, or why bother), voice calling, search, and the always intriguing, “more.” Details on the chipset are few. A Positive Review of the Nyko Wireless Nunchuk

A Positive Review of the Nyko Wireless Nunchuk

Normally, I avoid reporting on products that get too much coverage, unless I have something different to say about it. Such is the case with the Nyko Wireless Nunchuk, a product that other gadget blogs are really bashing unnecessarily. I had a chance to try out the Nyko Wireless Nunchuk at CES 2008, and I absolutely adored it. A lot of gadget blogs are asking whether the product is really necessary, but I say: “Of course it is! This is the new millennium, and everything is going to be wireless by the time we reach the end of this millennium.” Clearly, the negative reviewers have not played some of the Wii games that I play. Form-shifting Moldable Mouse

Form-shifting Moldable Mouse
Ever wish you could mold your mouse into any shape you pleased? Well, there is a new concept, winner of the Red Dot Design Award 2007, called the Moldable Mouse, developed by Lite-On Technology that will let you do just that. The mouse itself is made out of clay covered with polyurethane and nylon which allows the user to transform the mouse into just about any shape you may want. The base of the mouse houses the electronics and the batteries and the buttons aren’t conventional ones, but RFID stickers, this way the user can place them wherever his/her heart desires. Unfortunately this is still a concept but hopefully a manufacturer will pick up the design and start mass-producing this ergonomically-friendly device. Continental becomes the latest to roll out in-flight Wi-Fi
As the latest airline to begin offering free in-flight Wi-Fi, Continental has announced their plans to allow passengers to have limited wireless access. The service will be similar to the Jet Blue service and allow passengers to use e-mail or instant messaging. Sadly web browsing and even downloading attachments will not be allowed. A bit of good news does come with the Continental announcement, after you get board checking your email you will be able to amuse yourself by watching TV. The LiveTV service will offer 36 channels through DirecTV, first class passengers will be able to view for free while the economy-class passengers will have to pay $6. Everex delays the Cloudbook again, or maybe not

Everex delays the Cloudbook again, or maybe not
It seems that even Everex cannot keep up with the release date for the Cloudbook. They officially announce it, set a release date, cancel that release date, give a new release date and now seemingly have lost all track. The Cloudbook was scheduled for a release on January 25, then after the initial delay Everex had moved the date to a reasonable February 15. A quick check of the site this morning first mentioned February 25, which made us think the delay was pushed back again. However its now showing January 25 again and we all know that is not accurate. Come on Everex, lets get this release date set, you have people waiting to shell out their hard earned money. (Read the full post about ‘Everex delays the Cloudbook again, or maybe not’…)
