KNC M-700, Nokia 5310’s evil PMP half brother
May 1 could be the date of arrival of this sleek new PMP from KNC called the M-700, which is going to be released to commemorate the (presumably) Chinese Ching Ming Festival. Underneath the plasticky black and blue exterior lies a Swiss-RK2706 core chip running at 400Mhz, 4GB of built-in storage, support for USB 2.0, and Microsoft PLAYFX sound. The supported file formats are RM, RMVB, FLV, AVI, DivX, and XviD encoded AVI. It has a 2.6-inch screen that can play movies in 16:9 widescreen format, so it would be a great travel companion for watching short clips of your favorite TV shows. And while I’m liking the looks of the M-700, I’m constantly reminded by the blue highlights of another mobile device, although it belongs to another category. Written by admin on Wednesday, April 9th, 2008 in Gadgets.

Microsoft have been working on a new “Wii” type controller. The new remote control has been in the design stages since summer last year and it is set to be launched later on this year. The new controller looks very similar to the Wiimote. It has a speaker, microphone, LED’s and A/B/X/Y buttons as well as a trigger. An analogue stick is also found there too. Rare has been put in charge of the design of this remote and have the target of building a “unified interface and look for the controller”.
