Supersize Earbuds
Are the ipod earbuds a little too small for your ears? Thinkgeek has the answer with a product called Supersize Earbuds. These earbuds are 500x the size of regular earbuds so you actually need elephant-sized ears. If you aren’t an elephant or have huge ears, like my uncle, we’ve discovered that you could actually use these ginormous earbuds as desktop speakers. In fact, you’ll probably look like a chic geek with these on your desk. Gimmie! (Read the full post about ‘Supersize Earbuds’…)

Foam! What is it good for? Making art and furniture, apparently

Foam! What is it good for? Making art and furniture, apparently
Back in 2000, Brazilian artist Carla Tennenbaum discovered that the packaging material EVA foam can not be recycled and was clogging up landfill sites. Disappointed, she decided to take action and recycle the foam herself. As only an artist could, she created a range of beautiful and unusual works of art and pieces of furniture, like the ottoman pictured below. You can find out more and see the full range of Carla’s works via her website, but you can see my favorite over the page. And if you’re inspired, maybe you’ll decide to make your own! VitalJacket heart monitoring shirt
Having heart problems is no laughing matter, and most people will have to take plenty of medication, keep up a good exercise regime and watch their diet. They too, will need a heart rate monitor of some sort in order to make sure nothing untoward happens during the course of the day. These devices tend to be bulky, and they’re awkward to carry around. Enter the Vital Jacket heart rate monitor courtesy of BioDevices, which is actually an ordinary t-shirt that continuously monitors heart rate and ECG waves, making it one of the most ideal solution for elderly patients with plenty of potential for fitness applications too. The Vital Jacket is a wearable vital signs monitoring system that joins textiles with microelectronics. (Read the full post about ‘VitalJacket heart monitoring shirt’…)

Nokia N810 WiMax Edition gets listed, priced at Buy.com
Buy.com has already listed the Nokia N810 WiMax Edition on their site. The N810 is currently listed for $455 with a suggested retail of $479, but as we would expect, is not currently in stock. The listing, although a little early seems to fit the time frame as Nokia announced it would be available beginning in the summer of 2008, however we cannot help but remember that the WiMax coverage would be delayed. Think I can hold off buying a device that is built specifically for a technology that is not even available. A-Data Theme Series T703 Disney Flash Drive
Here’s an excerpt of the product description for the A-Data Theme Series T703 Disney flash drive - grammatically corrected, warts and all. The super light and handy Mickey flash drive weighs only 15 grams, and has a gorgeous Mickey hanging ornament. You can either wear it or use it to decorate your cell phone or bag. No matter how you use it, you will always attract people’s attention. The T703, authorized by Disney, not only provides you with a classic Mickey Mouse image, but also presents a creative design for the flash drive. After removing Mickey’s ear, you can easily save your files to the flash drive. In addition to being a useful office tool, its unique mirror design can help you check your appearance anytime your want. (Read the full post about ‘A-Data Theme Series T703 Disney Flash Drive’…)

RolerBall for summer fun

RolerBall for summer fun
Fancy getting an adrenaline rush? Why not check out the RolerBall - do make sure you take the necessary precautions beforehand though. Once inflated this behemoth stands about three metres high, and is rather like a spherical cushioned igloo. The idea, which sounds insane, is to put it at the top of a slope (we suggest a very gentle one with a long unobstructed run-off), strap yourself in, and then roll down the hill trying not to lose your lunch. Inside the centre shell are two harnesses, so you could have two people feeling the adrenalin rush, and probably the queasiness, together. There is a version of this mad sport that requires you to remove the harnesses, add a bucket or two of water, tie in the seal (which comes with the ball and straps into the opening), and launch yourself off. Sirius Starmate 5 stops by FCC, XM gets a mention

Sirius Starmate 5 stops by FCC, XM gets a mention
by Darren Murph, posted Apr 26th 2008 at 11:01PM We’ll cut straight to the chase: on the surface, there’s nothing all that enthralling about the Sirius Starmate 5. In most every respect, it looks, smells and likely acts much like its predecessor. Granted, the color schemes have been updated a bit and you’ll still find that delicious Sirius Replay support included, but the humdrum 5-line display, obligatory FM transmitter and bundled remote don’t do much to get our saliva glands workin’ overtime.
